The snow is back here in YEG, but being indoors isn’t so bad, because there are a lot of  fantastic workshops happening in and around town to get you through until April.  So here is your list of where to go make, create, decorate or paint something awesome.

The Make Shop – Featuring Dear Fawn Inc. 

When and Where: Saturday, February 7th from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at Cafe O’ Play.

Who and What: Yep that’s us! And we are super excited to be once again working with the talented Dear Fawn Inc. to turn regular boring old ties into stylish skinny ties for Dad. Plus there will be super yummy cookies to decorate and a DIY monogrammed coffee mug to create.

 

Make and Take Paint Class with The Painted Cottage

When and Where: Friday, February 13th from 6:00 – 8:45 pm at FIND.

Who and What: Join The Painted Cottage and try out painting with chalk/mineral paint. All supplies are included for you to make your own little project, just be sure to dress in your paint clothes.

 

Garden Workshops with Studio Bloom and Box Social Event Planning

When and Where: Saturday, February 21st from 2:00 – 4:00 pm at Studio Bloom.

Who and What: Bring your kids to Studio Bloom and build your very own Garden. It can be a Fairy, Dinosaur, Lego, Littlest Pet Shop or whatever you have around the house. Garden supplies will be provided, just bring toys, a container and your imagination.

 

Sensory Bin Workshop with Modern Mama St. Albert and Born 2 Create

When and Where: Friday, March 6th from 6:15- 8:15 pm at Dynamyx Gymnastics Club.

Who and What: Enjoy a fun night out and make 4 sensory bins to bring home to your little ones. Plus learn all about sensory bins from Born 2 Create. Materials and snacks are included.

 

People are Chalking and Chalk it up to Fabulous with Apple Box Boutique Inc.

When and Where: Currently all workshops dates have passed, but you can sign up here  to be the first to learn about upcoming dates at Apple Box Boutique.

Who and What: Start off with learn about the basics of Chalk Paint, and different techniques, then move on to actually refinishing your own small item. Snacks and beverages included!

 

Uppercase Press Letterpress Workshop

When and Where:  Several dates for 2015 are currently available, contact Uppercase Press for details and to register

Who and What: Get hands on experience with a tabletop letterpress and make your very own creation. You will need to set aside 4 hours, but the end result will be pretty fantastic.
